Blundells Cottage Closure

Blundells Cottage will be closed for conservation work from 12 December 2014 until 13 March 2015. It will reopen with new internal displays focusing on the families that lived in the Cottage, and who helped build the National Capital. We thank you for your patience while restoration works take place.

#LoveLBG this Summer

On 3 December 2014, Lake Burley Griffin ambassadors launched an education strategy to explain the simple ways the community can help improve water quality in Canberra’s streams, wetlands and lakes.

The strategy, developed by the NCA, encourages social media users to share tips on protecting Canberra’s waterways using the hashtag #LoveLBG. Posters, flyers and stickers have been developed with the message, ‘Canberra’s Drains are Just for the Rain’.

Canberra’s first all abilities playground, Boundless – The Centenary of Canberra National Playground, is located on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin at Kings Park.
